  2. Complete Onboarding – Provide minimal details and upload a recent student loan statement.
  3. Automated Verification – Our AI-powered fraud detection system verifies your loan and eligibility.
  4. Sign the Loan Certify Agreement – A simple step to finalize participation.
  5. Make Your Payment – An annual subscription ensures continued eligibility without interruptions.
  6. Sign Your Loan Certification – This document confirms your eligible student loan payments and the corresponding 401(k) match amount.

Once certified, your employer submits your Loan Certification to their 401(k) administrator, allowing you to start receiving matching contributions—seamlessly.

Loan Certify makes it easy for employers to support student loan matching without added cost or administrative burden. If your company isn’t covering Loan Certify for employees, the process is simple:

  1. Receive the Loan Certification Document – Employees provide this annually to confirm their eligibility.
  2. Submit to Your 401(k) Administrator – This enables the employee to start receiving a match on their qualified student loan payments.
